One reason I love the word “queer” is because it’s so anti-mainstream. All sorts of well-meaning folks can’t handle it.

Case-in-point: rather than suggesting my blog become “queerrant.com” for $17 a year, WordPress has suggested it become “oddrant.com” for $17 a year.

No thank you, WordPress. I am happy with “queer” because I am queer. Not odd.

(OK, well I am queer and odd as well. But different things.)
