Democracy is dead.
At least in the state of Michigan.
More information is coming to light about the 200,000 signatures collected in the state of Michigan to impose a temporary moratorium on the Emergency Financial Manager (EFM) law.
A new article from Eclectablog and information from Maddow Blog show that an expert consulted by state officials regarding whether or not print on the petitions was size 14 Calibri may have been ignored.
I don’t have time to really digest this new information since I have to leave for work in 30 minutes and I’m not even dressed yet.
But the very idea that our Democracy in the state of Michigan has been reduced to a fight over what constitutes size 14 Calibri font is an embarrassing day for the word “Democracy”.
